This was stated by the state utility company Almaty Su. According to the company, the information circulating on social media and in some media outlets has no basis.
Almaty Su is a state utility company that ensures the operation of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Almaty. The company is currently operating as normal.
"There are no plans to transfer Almaty's water supply and sewerage systems to the management of other companies," the company said.
In this regard, Almaty Su urged residents not to believe false information and to verify its accuracy before spreading it.
The company also recalled that Kazakh legislation provides for liability for spreading knowingly false information.
