Residents of five cities in Kazakhstan have been warned about adverse weather conditions on June 21. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to Kazhydromet, conditions conducive to the accumulation of pollutants in the air are expected in Kostanay, Almaty and Taldykorgan, and at night — in Temirtau and Karaganda.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term factors under which harmful substances can accumulate in the surface layer of atmospheric air. Such factors include calm weather, light wind, fog and inversion.

During such periods, residents are advised to reduce time spent outdoors, especially near highways and other sources of pollution.

People with chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular and allergic diseases are advised to carry necessary medications when going outside.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that a storm warning was issued for 16 regions of Kazakhstan on June 21.
