The Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty reported that since the beginning of the year, police officers have seized 235 kilograms of cold weapons, which amounts to 4,270 units. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The police addressed young people and students with a call not to carry such items with the thought "just in case."

"Even an ordinary conflict can escalate into a serious situation and lead to severe consequences. A dangerous object at hand during a quarrel can change the course of events," said Timur Nogaibaev, an officer of the Department of Internal Affairs.
