A fire in a plastic products workshop in the Talgar district of the Almaty region has been fully extinguished. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fire occurred on the Kulzha highway. An operational firefighting headquarters was established to coordinate actions at the scene.
Rescuers organized an uninterrupted water supply. Six water hoses were used at three combat sites.
"Extinguishing was complicated by a high fire load, rapid spread of fire, and collapse of walls," the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
There were no casualties as a result of the fire. Specialists are determining the cause of the fire.

Upon arrival of fire departments, it was established that the fire had engulfed a significant area of the workshop, where a large amount of polymer materials was stored. This contributed to the rapid spread of flames.
The operational headquarters ensured sufficient forces and resources for extinguishing. Special equipment was deployed to access water sources. Six water hoses were installed at three sites, through which the fire was fought.
Challenges and safety measures
According to representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, extinguishing the fire was complicated by several factors. First, the large amount of combustible materials in the workshop led to intense fire development. Second, the flames spread quickly, damaging structures. Third, the threat of wall collapse created additional difficulties for rescuers.
Despite this, rescuers managed to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring facilities. Thanks to their coordinated actions, the fire was completely extinguished.
Consequences and cause determination
No one was injured as a result of the fire. Currently, specialists are conducting an examination to determine the cause of the fire. Preliminary versions suggest that the fire could have been caused by a short circuit in electrical wiring or a violation of the technological process, but final conclusions will be made after the investigation is completed.
This incident in the Talgar district once again reminded of the importance of observing fire safety rules at production facilities. Local authorities plan to strengthen fire safety measures.
