A restaurant on Tlenbiev Street in the village of Besagash, Talgar district, Almaty region, caught fire. By the time the first fire crews arrived, the fire had engulfed the entire building. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Emergency services are working at the scene with an increased response level. The fire has been contained, but extinguishing efforts continue.
There were no visitors inside the restaurant when rescuers arrived. No reports of casualties were received on the 112 emergency number.
During firefighting, Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel removed two gas cylinders with volumes of 50 and 27 liters, as well as an oxygen cylinder with a volume of 50 liters, from the building.
The fire did not spread to neighboring structures.
Earlier, Kursiv reported a fire in a three-story gaming club building on Tashkentskaya Street in Taraz. Rescuers extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading to nearby residential buildings. There were no casualties.
