370 students of Karakhota village have been attending the new school for the second year this year. The school with wide corridors, bright - a comfortable school. All conditions have been created for children who want to study. Unlike some villages, the number of children is constantly growing. Students who want to study at the comfortable school even come from the village of Shelek, located 9 kilometers away, and submit applications.
"In recent days, 10 students come daily and submit applications to study at this school," say school teachers. This year, two classes were admitted to the first grade. And 70% of graduates received grants.
Unfortunately, the basement of the new school is flooded. "The water problem has existed since summer. The district education department pumps out sewer wells. There were no students all summer, but the water does not go away. Contractors say it is water from the sewer well, but that is impossible. Only in July, 100 tons of sewage water were pumped out. There were no students all summer, but the basement is flooded," says Anargul Alimbayeva, director of the secondary school in Karakhota village.
According to teachers, water is leaking from pipes in the basement. "We are bringing in other specialists, they say the pipes are not laid correctly. We are warning the contractors," says the school director. Water constantly drips from the pipes. As a result, the basement walls are damp, and the plaster has fallen off. Teachers open the basement windows and try to cope with the problem.
