In the Almaty region, 20 private bailiffs were found to have regularly topped up betting accounts and systematically participated in gambling. The total amount transferred to their gaming accounts amounted to nearly 180 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the inspection revealed that one of them transferred 139 million tenge to a gaming account over three years, and another 26 million tenge. Such actions contradict the principles of professional ethics and negatively affect public trust in the institution of private bailiffs.
Based on these facts, prosecutorial supervision acts were sent to the Justice Department and the regional chamber of private bailiffs, raising the issue of taking measures provided by law. The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable for persons performing publicly significant functions.
