A large transport and logistics center has been launched in the Almaty region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the press service of the regional akimat, a modern multimodal complex has been built on an area of more than 26.5 hectares, including railway infrastructure, a container yard, two warehouses, loading and unloading points, automobile logistics and a control center.
The facility's capacity allows processing 100,000 containers per year. Currently, it is planned to create 100 new jobs. 28.1 billion tenge was invested in the project.
The new terminal will expand cargo transportation capabilities in the Almaty region, facilitate the reception, storage and further dispatch of goods. It will also contribute to the development of the country's trade relations and the efficient organization of transportation for entrepreneurs.
