According to the press service of the regional akimat, more than 150,000 fry were released into the Ili River today.

"Thus, since the beginning of the year, the number of fry released into the Ili River, Lake Balkhash and the Kapshagai Reservoir has exceeded 600,000. By the end of October, its volume is planned to be brought to 4 million," the statement says.

Also, during today's action, a clean-up was organized and the territory of the Ili River was cleared of garbage.

According to specialists, 80 percent of the fish released into the water will grow. Such events held annually make a significant contribution to increasing fish stocks. This is also confirmed by the research findings of the Scientific and Production Center of Fisheries.
