The incident occurred near a river in Shamalgan village on June 6 at approximately 20:05. A CCTV camera captured the moment when an unknown man suddenly attacked a woman walking down the street and tried to strangle her with a rope. The victim screamed for help. When witnesses came to her aid, the suspect fled the scene.
The Karasai District Akimat stated: "Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted within the framework of a registered criminal case under paragraph 5 of part 2 of Article 108-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan." The identity of the suspect has not yet been established. Police are searching for him.
