Two bridges over the Talgar and Turgen rivers in the Almaty region have been destroyed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

2-3 years ago, these bridges were declared emergency. An expert assessment concluded that they could not be used. This time, mudflow waters completely destroyed them. This year, funding for reconstruction work is provided: 400 million tenge for the bridge over the Talgar River and 200 million tenge for the bridge over the Turgen River. On June 25, the winners of the competition were determined. Currently, the stage of concluding contracts with them is underway. After contracts are signed with contractor organizations, construction and installation work will begin. It is scheduled to be implemented in the third quarter of this year.
