In the Almaty region, 30 natural monopoly entities were held accountable for obstructing business. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, prosecutors, together with the Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights, analyzed compliance with legislation by natural monopoly entities when providing services.
The inspection revealed violations of deadlines for considering entrepreneurs' applications, unjustified refusals to issue technical conditions for connection to engineering networks, and concealment of information about available capacities.
"Based on prosecutorial supervision acts, 30 natural monopoly entities were brought to administrative responsibility," the statement said.
As a result, the total amount of fines imposed exceeded 23 million tenge.
