In the village of Saryzhaz, Raiymbek district, Almaty region, six 16-year-old teenagers were involved in a road accident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of August 17 at approximately 02:00. The car overturned.
The mother of one of the children, Gulmariya Sintikova, told a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent about the incident. According to her, the deceased girl was a friend of her daughter and the only daughter in the family.
The children were heading to the village of Karasaz. According to preliminary data, the car overturned while trying to avoid a horse that had come onto the road.
Gulmariya Sintikova said the car was moving at high speed. Her daughter sustained injuries to her back, face, and arms. At 3:30 a.m., a paramedic called and told her that her daughter had been in an accident. She does not know why they were going to Karasaz.
The teenage driver had taken his uncle's car without permission. The boy had come from the city and drove off. His parents did not even know he had arrived from the city.
The visiting boy is in intensive care. All those involved in the accident were immediately taken to the district hospital.
A Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent asked doctors about the condition of the victims. Doctors at the Raiymbek District Hospital said five children were brought in, one died before the ambulance arrived, and the condition of the other four is stable.
The Almaty Regional Police Department has not yet provided information on the incident.
