In the Karasai district of the Almaty region, near Mount Vechernyaya, a tourist girl got lost at an altitude of over 3000 meters above sea level, having strayed from the mountain trail. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
She could not descend on her own via a safe route. The call for help came at midnight.
"Having received information about the incident, rescuers of the republican rescue service 'Barys' promptly headed to the area where search and rescue operations were to be conducted. The search for the tourist was carried out all night in difficult mountain conditions," the rescuers said.
They initially went to the given coordinates, but did not find the tourist girl there. Nevertheless, the search and rescue operations continued in the direction of the gorge.
During the search, the rescuers found the tourist girl and safely delivered her to a safe area.
