An agrocomplex capable of storing 30,000 tonnes of produce has been launched in Almaty Region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional akimat, the modern "QazEcoDan" complex built in Enbekshikazakh district carries out the reception, cleaning, drying and storage of grain and oilseed crops.
Capacity of the complex
Already now the complex can store 30,000 tonnes of produce. The production uses technological equipment supplied from Germany, while the grain storage silos were brought from Spain.
According to company representatives, this allows for efficient drying of grain and preservation of product quality over the long term.
Comment from the regional head
Regional head Shyngys Arinov commented on the opening of the complex.
"Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has been giving priority to increasing production volumes and attracting investment in the agricultural sector. The enterprise opened today is aimed at systematically addressing these tasks. I express my gratitude to the investors and workers who contributed to the development of the district's agricultural sector," said Shyngys Arinov.
Logistics and export plans
In order to expand the complex's logistics capabilities, construction of a railway line about 3 kilometres long is planned. This will optimise grain transportation and enable prompt delivery of products to domestic and foreign markets.
In the future, grain crops processed and stored at the complex are planned to be exported to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and other countries.
Jobs and project cost
Currently, 30 people are permanently employed here. The total cost of the project is 21 billion tenge.
