In the Almaty region, 201 individuals have been brought to administrative responsibility for environmental violations, the regional prosecutor's office reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The supervisory authority noted that systematic work is being carried out to identify and eliminate unauthorized landfills, as well as to improve the sanitary condition of populated areas.
For this purpose, raid activities are regularly conducted jointly with police and local executive bodies. They are aimed at prevention, timely detection, and suppression of environmental offenses.
Currently, the prosecutor's office, together with authorized state bodies, continues to work on cleaning territories from solid household waste, as well as strengthening preventive measures and fostering a responsible attitude towards the environment among the population.
The department urged residents of the region to maintain cleanliness and comply with the requirements of environmental legislation.
