Meteorologists reported that on the last day of July, unfavorable meteorological conditions (NMC) are expected in Almaty and at night in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
When NMC occur, the quality of atmospheric air in populated areas may deteriorate, which affects people's health.
One of the most important factors determining the formation of the pollution level is the forecast of the synoptic situation (wind, precipitation, humidity, air temperature).
Under unfavorable meteorological conditions, it is recommended:
- 01Avoid prolonged exposure to open air;
- 02Keep windows closed, use air purifiers indoors;
- 03Reduce physical activity;
- 04Do not take medications without a doctor's prescription.
