In the village of Tuymebay, Ili district, Almaty region, the roofs of three retail boutiques and a canteen caught fire, covering a total area of more than 320 square meters. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Emergency response
Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) units arrived on a heightened call rank. According to the MES, a firefighting headquarters was established and an uninterrupted water supply was ensured.
"Due to the threat of the fire spreading to neighboring buildings, the main efforts of rescuers were directed at protecting nearby facilities and preventing further spread of the flames," the ministry stated.
Fire fully extinguished
The fire was completely extinguished. There are no casualties.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that a fire broke out at an unauthorized landfill in Talgar district, Almaty region. The area of the fire was 850 square meters. It was later fully extinguished. There were no casualties.
