FlyArystan airline is launching a direct international flight on the Almaty – Chongqing route. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the company, this will be the fifth destination in China, complementing regular flights to Urumqi, Kulja, and Xi'an. The first flight is scheduled for September 23.

Flights will operate twice a week: from Almaty on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from Chongqing on Thursdays and Sundays. The flight duration between Almaty and Chongqing is approximately five hours.

The ticket price for a one-way trip under the standard tariff starts from 96,000 tenge. It is worth noting that Chongqing is one of the largest megacities in China and a popular tourist center of the country.

One of the city's most unusual attractions is a metro line that passes through a residential complex. This facility has become a symbol of modern Chongqing. Chongqing is also considered a convenient city for traveling to tourist destinations in southwestern China.

One of them is Zhangjiajie National Park, known for its quartzite cliffs and landscapes reminiscent of the fantastic nature from the movie "Avatar".
