Kazhydromet warned residents of nine cities in Kazakhstan about unfavorable meteorological conditions (NMU) on September 6. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

During the day, NMU are expected in Astana, Almaty, Temirtau and Karaganda. At night, the warning is in effect for Zhezkazgan, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Aktobe and Atyrau.

Such weather conditions may contribute to increased atmospheric air pollution.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions occur when certain weather factors combine. These include calm weather, weak wind, fog and temperature inversion.

In such weather, pollutants disperse worse and can accumulate in the surface layer of the atmosphere.

Under unfavorable meteorological conditions, citizens are advised to spend less time outdoors. It is especially advisable to limit time near highways and other sources of pollution.

People with chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular and allergic diseases are advised to carry necessary medications when going outside.

According to the forecast of Kazhydromet specialists, on September 6, during the day, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in the following cities:
