On July 28, unfavorable meteorological conditions are forecast in Almaty, Aktobe and Balkhash, as well as at night in Astana and Kostanay. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to weather forecasters, conditions in these cities are expected to contribute to the accumulation of pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere and deterioration of air quality.

As experts explained, adverse weather conditions occur when calm, light wind, fog and temperature inversion combine. As a result, harmful impurities are retained near the ground, which can lead to a worsening of the environmental situation.

Forecasters warn that during such periods the risk of negative health effects from polluted air increases, especially for people with chronic respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. The level of pollution is also affected by wind speed, humidity, air temperature and precipitation.

Specialists advise residents to reduce time spent outdoors as much as possible, especially near busy roads and other emission sources. Children, the elderly and pregnant women are recommended to avoid long walks.

People with respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases and allergies should carry necessary medications with them. In addition, on days with adverse weather conditions, it is advisable to limit intense physical activity outdoors and move workouts indoors.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that according to Kazhydromet forecasts, on July 28 the weather in Kazakhstan will remain contrasting. Some regions will be hit by heavy rain with hail and squally wind, while others will be in the grip of extreme heat — in the Mangystau region the air will heat up to +47 degrees.
