A special welcome program for foreign tourists was organized at Almaty International Airport to mark City Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Guests welcomed in national attire
According to the statement, guests were welcomed by batyrs and hostesses dressed in national clothing.
Tourists were presented with gifts featuring symbols of the city – a festively decorated Almaty aport apple and souvenirs depicting the city's landmarks.
Photo zone in operation
A themed photo zone also operated at the airport. Guests took photos together with program participants in national attire and received printed photos on the spot as a keepsake.
