In August of this year, three attempts to import an especially large batch of drugs from Southeast Asia were stopped at Almaty airport. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the National Security Committee, during the inspection of foreign citizens' luggage, "marijuana", "cannabis resin" and "hashish oil" were found in containers hidden in cosmetic products.
According to the examination results, the total weight of the seized drugs exceeded 32 kilograms.
On these facts, the materials were sent to the competent authorities along the line of investigation for a procedural decision.
