A fire broke out during maintenance of a FlyArystan aircraft at Almaty International Airport, injuring one person. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Air Astana, a fire occurred in a small area during maintenance work. It was promptly extinguished by the airport's emergency services.
An employee of the Air Astana group was injured and received medical assistance. He was later discharged from the hospital.
At the time of the incident, there were no passengers or crew members on board the aircraft. The extent of damage to the aircraft is currently being determined.
The aircraft has been temporarily withdrawn from service for necessary repairs.
