The Almaty akimat will purchase several land plots with a total area of approximately 6.7 hectares for state needs. A new city park is planned on the expropriated territory in the Turksib district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The city mayor signed the corresponding decree on land expropriation. The new green zone will appear in the Kairat microdistrict. The list of objects subject to forced alienation includes three large plots.
City authorities plan to complete the entire purchase and territory clearance procedure by December 31, 2027.
All property owners will receive compensation from the local executive body. Plots, residential buildings, and other capital structures will be assessed at market value. If the owner disagrees with the proposed assessment amount, the final compensation amount will be determined in court.
