Repair work at Almaty-1 station will be completed not by the end of the year, but in October or November. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Nurzhan Kelbuganov, Chairman of the Committee for Railway and Water Transport, announced the new deadline at a government briefing. According to him, after the visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister, the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy paid 11 billion tenge for the station work, which accelerated the pace.

"The station repairs were supposed to be finished by the end of the year. Now the schedule has been revised, and it should be completed in October or November," Kelbuganov said.

He noted that a total of 22 billion tenge will be spent on the modernization of Almaty-1 station. Half of this amount has already been paid. It is worth noting that hundreds of stations across the country are being repaired. The Prime Minister has set specific deadlines for the completion of these works.
