On the day of the first bell, flower trade becomes especially active. How much flowers will cost this year and in which cities prices have risen. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In Astana and Almaty, the simplest small bouquet costs on average from 4.5 to 8.5 thousand tenge. It can be several chrysanthemums, gladioli, or colorful asters.
The price of an average bouquet can reach from 8 to 32 thousand tenge. And "luxury" orders, depending on the type and packaging of the bouquet, range from 30 to 151.9 thousand tenge.
According to expert interviews with florists published in the media, prices may rise significantly just before September 1. However, official data states that prices will not rise.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics, from May last year to July this year, the consumer price index for plants, seeds, and flowers in the country ranged from 103% to 106%, indicating a rise of 3% to 6%. In August and September 2025, prices did not rise significantly.
Prices rose especially in Astana - by 25.8%. And in Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Ulytau regions, the cost of plants, seeds, and flowers remained virtually unchanged.
