The National Bank of Kazakhstan warns about new investment fraud schemes. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Messages are circulating on social media about the possibility of guaranteed earnings from investments in "tokenized gold," "artificial intelligence developments," and a "neural network-based trader robot."

Scammers pose as financial advisors and show fake statistics of high returns from an "investment platform" or "cryptocurrency service." Then they help register on a fake website of a brokerage or cryptocurrency platform.

Such sites create a false impression of real investment activity: charts, transaction history, personal account, and support chat.

"At the initial stage, scammers allow withdrawing a small amount of 'profit' to gain trust. After that, they persuade to invest a large sum under the pretext of a 'unique offer,' 'increase in profitability,' or 'especially profitable deal.' When the amount in the user's account increases significantly, withdrawing money becomes impossible. At this point, scammers demand payment of taxes, commissions, or insurance," say bank experts.

Scammers also send fake letters and documents with seals, serial numbers, and other data. After receiving payments in the form of "additional taxes and commissions," they stop communicating. The deceived person loses access to the platform.
