Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a proposal regarding the judicial system in the city of Alatau, Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the President, quality justice is essential for the effective development of Alatau. In today's Address, he announced specific initiatives to improve the judicial system.
Investment court based on the English model
"An investment court based on the English model will consider commercial cases. And other issues related to the special legal regime will fall under the jurisdiction of the Civil Court," Tokayev said in today's Address.
This initiative aims to enhance the investment attractiveness of Alatau and resolve commercial disputes in line with international standards.
Government given a specific deadline
The Government must develop amendments to the constitutional law "On the special legal regime of the city of Alatau" by the end of January 2027. This instruction was clearly outlined during the Address.
It is worth noting that the foundation-laying ceremony for the first high-rise building in Alatau – the Iconic Complex multifunctional complex – has already taken place. This indicates the actual start of the city's development.
In addition, it became known that from next year another three-year moratorium on inspections of small businesses may be introduced. This was mentioned during the Address.
