Almaty is rapidly renewing — new schools, public spaces are appearing in the city, and new infrastructure is being built. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Akim of Alatau district of the southern capital Daniyar Kirikbayev showed journalists a new school for 2000 students, a park under construction with an area of 3.5 hectares, and a project of engineering networks that should provide water and sewerage to about 9 thousand residents of the Terekty microdistrict.
New school in Akmarzhan microdistrict
One of the most significant new facilities in the district was the new school No. 230 in the Akmarzhan microdistrict, designed for 2000 students. The educational institution was built within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School". It is equipped with modern classrooms, a STEM laboratory, a library, sports facilities, and an access control system using Face ID.
In total, 35 schools operate in the Alatau district today, and this year, by order of the head of state, two more modern comfortable schools will open.
— More than 1700 children have already received places here, and by September 1 the school will be fully ready to receive students, — says the district akim Daniyar Kirikbayev. — The shortage of student places in the district remains relevant, but the opening of new schools significantly reduces the burden on existing educational institutions.
Park in Nurkent microdistrict
Also, in the Nurkent microdistrict, the improvement of a park with an area of about 3.5 hectares continues. The project provides for walking alleys, recreation areas, children's and sports grounds, landscaping and modern lighting. After completion of the work, more than 1800 residents of nearby houses will be able to use the new public space.
Engineering infrastructure in Terekty microdistrict
Another major project is being implemented in the Terekty microdistrict. Here, water supply and sanitation networks with a total length of more than 92 kilometers are being built. After completion of the work, about 1700 private houses, where about 9 thousand people live, will be able to connect to centralized utility systems.
According to Daniyar Kirikbayev, the development of educational, public and engineering infrastructure remains one of the main areas of work in the Alatau district.
