At a government meeting, the progress of Alatau City development projects was reviewed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the government, the city's investment portfolio has grown to 67 projects, with total investments amounting to approximately $6.9 billion. The projects are expected to create about 55,000 jobs.
Production and logistics projects of PepsiCo, Sunny Paper, Mars Petcare KZ, Griffin Logopark, DanaFlex, and G-Trans Service are being implemented. Major projects such as Iconic Complex and KIND K-Smart Town are also being developed.
Work is also underway on the Alatau Crypto City direction. Together with the National Bank, the Tokenization by Default concept has been developed. 43 international and Kazakhstani companies have shown interest in tokenization projects. They are planned to be launched by the end of 2026, the message says.
Within the framework of city infrastructure development, 26 projects are envisaged. These include electricity and water supply, wastewater disposal, and road infrastructure development. According to the plan, 61.2 km of roads will be repaired and 15 km of new roads will be built.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed to implement the projects on time and accelerate the development of Alatau City's infrastructure.
