Relatives of a man who died while vacationing on the shores of Lake Alakol are seeking justice. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Two jet skis collided on Lake Alakol, resulting in one death. The relatives of the deceased left a post on social media demanding justice.

"Around 7:30 PM, my brother was hit from behind by a jet ski driven by a 21-year-old resident of Beskol village. My brother had five vertebrae fractured and his spinal cord severed. He didn't even have time to look back," said a relative of the deceased.

According to him, the jet ski driver was intoxicated. "The young man was drunk. This case has not yet been reviewed by investigators from the city of Usharal, Alakol district. False information is spreading on internet pages. Investigators have not given us any information yet," said the relatives of the deceased.

A Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent contacted the police department of Zhetysu region regarding this complaint. They stated that the suspect is not at large. "Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being clarified. The suspect was in a medical facility under police guard. After completing the course of treatment and discharge from the medical facility, in coordination with the supervisory authority, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for him will be considered," said the Zhetysu regional police department.

The criminal case is under special control of the leadership of the Zhetysu regional police department, the police added.
