Ruslan Musagaliyev, a 44-year-old resident of Almaty, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances while vacationing with his family at Lake Alakol. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

His relatives told a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent about the incident. Ruslan Musagaliyev left the house on August 17 at approximately 18:00, saying "I'll go for a walk." He has not returned since.

Incident at the resort

The family stayed at the "Nurai" resort in the village of Kabanbay. They arrived for a vacation on Sunday. According to relative Zhanibek Otarbayev, they started looking for him around 10 p.m. but were not overly worried, thinking he would come back.

On Monday, around 4 a.m., relatives from Almaty urgently set off for Alakol and have been searching for him since.

Phone found

According to relatives, Ruslan did not swim in Alakol. He was captured on camera in the Arbat area. His phone was on only on Sunday when he went for a walk, and has been off since. Later, the missing man's phone was found in the village. It was found by a teenager living in the village and handed over to the resort's security guard.

Family's statement

Currently, all of Ruslan Musagaliyev's relatives are in Alakol searching for him. Relatives describe him as "a person who never let his three children out of sight and loved his family very much." They say he does not conflict with anyone and never says a bad word to anyone.

The missing man came to Alakol with his three children, wife, and father.

Police statement

According to the police department of the Abai region, on August 18, his wife contacted the duty unit of the Makanshi district police department to report his disappearance.

"According to the data, on August 17 at approximately 18:10, the man left the territory of the 'Nurai' recreation base located on the shore of Lake Alakol in the Makanshi district. His whereabouts are still unknown," the police department said.

Police officers are conducting operational search activities to determine the whereabouts of the missing person.

"If you have any information about the whereabouts of Ruslan Musagaliyev, please immediately report it by calling '102' or contact the nearest police station," the police urged.
