The women's national team of Kazakhstan won its first medal at the U17 World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Aisha Abdimalik brought the silver award to the team's collection. In the final of the weight category up to 65 kilograms, the Kazakh athlete lost to Mongolian wrestler Ariunzul Boldbaatar.
Ayanat Meinambay fought for the bronze medal in the weight category up to 49 kilograms in the final block, but lost to American Isla Silva.
Earlier it was reported that Aisha Abdimalik had reached the final of the U17 World Championships.
