Video from a witness shows a person in black with a long rifle approaching a white car, opening the driver's door, and popping the trunk. According to the chain's owner, an employee was among the dead.
Chief Hicks said an off-duty state trooper and a civilian fired at the gunman and diverted him. Williams' family is fully cooperating with the investigation.
Twin Falls is a city in southern Idaho with a population of about 56,000. Investigators are now trying to determine a motive.
