Air China has increased the frequency of flights from Astana to Beijing to six times a week since early August. This was reported by the press service of the International Airport of Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Now three flights are operated directly on the route Astana — Beijing, and three more via Xi'an.
Direct flights from Astana to Beijing operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
On the route Astana — Xi'an — Beijing, passengers can fly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Thus, passengers have more options for planning trips to China — both business and tourist.
The airport noted that the increase in flight frequency continues the development of air traffic between Kazakhstan and China. The expansion of the route network also contributes to strengthening tourism, economic, and business ties between the two countries.
Air China is the national carrier of China. The airline's main hub is located in Beijing. The carrier is a member of the international aviation alliance Star Alliance, and its route network covers cities in China, Asia, Europe, and other regions of the world.
In 2025, the Air China group carried about 160 million passengers.
The day before, negotiations were held in Beijing between the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on expanding cooperation in the field of air transportation.
