An Air Astana passenger flight from Almaty to Astana returned to the airport of departure. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A passenger posted on social media that the plane could not reach its destination. According to him, the aircraft was unable to land in either Astana or Karaganda.
"We flew from Almaty to Astana, but the plane couldn't land. The aircraft was sent to Karaganda airport, but landing there was also impossible. Some passengers had high blood pressure, children were crying. As a result, the plane returned to Almaty," the passenger wrote.
Air Astana confirmed that the plane could not land. "Due to adverse weather conditions in Astana and Karaganda, the aircraft operating flight KC 641 on the Almaty-Astana route today returned to Almaty, and a departure is planned shortly," the airline said.
