Air Astana will return check-in for domestic flights from Almaty to Terminal T-1 of the airport starting November 6, 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
When check-in begins
According to Air Astana, check-in for the airline's domestic flights from Almaty will again take place in Terminal T-1 from November 6, 2026. It will begin at 04:00.
What was renovated in the terminal
After the airport's renovation, the check-in areas in the terminal were updated. To speed up pre-flight procedures, five automated checkpoints for passenger and boarding document verification were installed. According to company representatives, there are more seats in the departure area, digital displays have been updated, and a multilingual navigation system has appeared.
Where international flights check in
Check-in for Air Astana international flights, as before, takes place in Terminal T-2. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in advance so that there is enough time for all pre-flight procedures. Usually this is two to three hours.
Other changes at the airport
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that at Almaty airport, after the reconstruction of the arch, the main entrance from the side of Mailin Street was opened. For entry and exit, 11 lanes are available there: four for entry and seven for exit.
