Air Astana has canceled one flight to Dubai and another aircraft is returning to its departure airport due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Flight KC205 Astana—Dubai, which departed from Astana at 07:10 on July 12, is returning to the departure airport.

Flight KC897 Almaty—Dubai, scheduled for July 12 at 08:50, has been canceled.

Passengers of the canceled flight will receive a full refund of the ticket price at the place of purchase.

Air Astana reported that it is closely monitoring the situation and resolving issues of passenger evacuation. The airline will announce further changes to the flight schedule later.

Passengers were asked to check the status of flights, as changes in departure and arrival times at destination airports are expected.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that VietJet Qazaqstan temporarily suspended flights on the Astana—Omsk—Astana route from July 9 to 20 due to drone activity in Russia. Passengers of canceled flights were offered a full refund or an alternative route via Petropavlovsk with a subsequent bus transfer to Omsk and back.
