Air Astana has temporarily suspended some flights to the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing escalation of the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The airline canceled flights Almaty – Dubai – Almaty (KC897/898) scheduled for July 13 and 14, as well as the flight Astana – Dubai – Astana (KC205/206) that was to take place on July 14.

Passengers of the canceled flights were offered a full refund at the place of purchase or a free rebooking. Tickets can be rebooked from flights scheduled between July 12 and 18 to any date up to and including July 31.

Air Astana said it continues to monitor the situation in the region and is working on options to evacuate passengers.

The decision was made amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The airline temporarily suspended flights to ensure safety measures. Flexible refund and rebooking conditions were offered to support passengers.

Air Astana usually operates regular flights from Almaty and Astana to Dubai. These routes are popular for business and tourism. The airline is considering resuming flights depending on the evolving situation.
