Air Astana is launching direct flights from Almaty to Tokyo. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the airline, the first flight from Almaty will operate on November 30, while the return flight from Tokyo will be on December 1. Airbus A321LR aircraft will serve Tokyo International Airport twice a week.

Flight schedule

The flight schedule in local time is as follows:

  • 01Almaty – Tokyo, KC171 — on Mondays and Thursdays, departing Almaty at 21:55 and arriving in Tokyo at 09:25 the next day.
  • 02Tokyo – Almaty, KC172 — on Tuesdays and Fridays, departing Tokyo at 10:55 and arriving in Almaty at 16:20.

The flight duration from Almaty to Tokyo is 7 hours 30 minutes, and in the opposite direction it is 9 hours 25 minutes.

Code-sharing and ticket prices

Within the existing partnership between Air Astana and Japan Airlines, flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Almaty operate in code-sharing mode.

The minimum ticket price in both directions starts from 350,552 tenge in economy class and from 1,398,918 tenge in business class.
