The Food Contract Corporation will allocate over 60 billion tenge this year to support farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the first half of 2026, the national operator transferred 51.6 billion tenge to the accounts of farms. "After the full execution of forward contracts and final settlement for delivered products, the total volume of financing for farmers will reach 65.7 billion tenge," the statement said.

According to Asylkhan Dzhuvashev, Chairman of the Board of NC Food Contract Corporation JSC, state investments previously directed to the formation of the corporation's capital are now showing their effectiveness. "After the contracts are fulfilled and agricultural products are sold, the funds return to circulation and are again directed to financing farmers. This mechanism allows for annual support of agricultural producers and a gradual increase in financing volumes without additional burden on the budget," Dzhuvashev said.

The funds returned to circulation will be used to implement the most popular mechanisms – programs for direct purchase of agricultural products and forward financing of spring field work. "Under the direct purchase program, farms sold 191.8 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds to the Food Contract Corporation. This is twice the figure for 2025 (92.9 thousand tons)," the corporation noted.

Thus, the mechanisms of direct purchase and forward financing allow solving several important tasks simultaneously. They not only provide farmers with affordable financing but also contribute to the formation of the country's strategic grain reserve.
