Soldier Yerbayan Mukhtar, who suffered a severe injury in 2023 while fulfilling his military duty, has died. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Health. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Doctors fought for the patient's life for nearly three years. However, due to the consequences of severe injuries, irreversible changes occurred in the brain, and it was impossible to save the patient's life.
The ministry reported that Yerbayan had a persistent vegetative state for a long time, and despite intensive therapy, including respiratory support, a gradual deterioration of vital signs was observed. In particular, a decrease in blood oxygen saturation, cardiac arrhythmia, and hemodynamic instability were recorded. The patient's condition remained extremely critical. In June 2026, against the background of the underlying severe disease, infectious complications, sepsis, and multiple organ failure syndrome developed. On June 23, 2026, at 21:40, biological death was registered.
Recall that in 2023, Yerbayan Mukhtar suffered a severe head injury and became disabled. Representatives of the National Guard stated that the soldier fell in the toilet and was injured. However, his relatives did not believe this explanation. Subsequently, internal investigations were conducted and a criminal case was opened.
In turn, the Ministry of Health reported that Mukhtar Yerbayan received treatment at the Central City Clinical Hospital in Almaty and the National Center for Neurosurgery in Astana, and from August 2024 to January 2025, with family support, underwent rehabilitation treatment in Turkey. After returning to Kazakhstan, he was under the supervision of specialists and received medical care at home.
