In Kazakhstan, engineering surveys at the site of the future nuclear power plant are nearing completion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the head of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, in 2027 Rosatom will begin the main construction of the Balkhash NPP in Kazakhstan. He also said that the state corporation is currently negotiating with 15 countries on the construction of power units.
And agreements have been signed with six countries for the construction of a total of 17 power units.
