Public figure Rauan Kenzhekhanuly explained how the accession of the AMANAT party to the Adilet party will take place, as well as what will happen to the name, property, and maslikhat deputies. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Responding to a question about whether AMANAT could "take over" Adilet from within, Kenzhekhanuly stated that he would not look for internal competition or contradictions in this process.
"This event of AMANAT's accession to the Adilet party is very important for us through the expertise, knowledge, and experience that our colleagues have accumulated over many years in party activities. Therefore, we very much hope that thanks to such a large expert acquisition, we will be able to make a sufficiently large, effective, and fast start," he said at a briefing.
According to Kenzhekhanuly, representatives of both parties are "in the same society" and know each other well. He noted that a large group of AMANAT representatives attended the congress as guests.
"We feel great support and are confident that we will work together effectively and well," the public figure added.
Kenzhekhanuly also answered a question about whether the absence of Forbes list representatives in the hall means that big business does not support the new party.
According to him, the congress decided to create a large regional network and also decided to accept AMANAT's proposal for accession.
"We are becoming a completely different organization. But not only our party changed today. I think the whole country has changed, our society has changed. We have proven that we can unite around common big goals and objectives," he said.
Kenzhekhanuly noted that society heard the president's call for the consolidation of progressive forces around the idea of creating and strengthening a Just Kazakhstan. According to him, this call concerned not only public and political forces but also business people who create large projects and develop the economy.
"We hope that soon additional responses will appear from this cohort of people," he noted.
Separately, Kenzhekhanuly commented on the issue of the name of the united party. He emphasized that it is specifically about AMANAT's accession to Adilet.
"We have the right to keep our name and our program, but we are ready to discuss how we will develop our content and our proposal to society," he said.
According to him, the Adilet party has worked long on its identity and receives good feedback on the logo, color, and font.
"We are a bit proud of this, so as representatives of the Adilet party, we will insist on keeping our identity," Kenzhekhanuly stated.
Speaking about AMANAT's property, Kenzhekhanuly noted that it is not about "appropriation" but about transfer within a legal procedure.
"Not to appropriate, but to accept, probably. This is also a well-defined legal procedure. The legal term is merger through accession, which involves certain procedures, including the transfer of infrastructure and property," he said.
Kenzhekhanuly also explained what will happen to maslikhat deputies from AMANAT. According to him, the accession of one large party to another is not a one-day process.
"We face a large legal, economic, and organizational work. Therefore, the AMANAT party as a legal entity will still exist for some time because we must carry out all procedures," he explained.
Kenzhekhanuly added that during this period, maslikhat deputies from AMANAT retain legitimacy because the party will legally continue to exist until all procedures are completed.
"Today, a political decision has been made that AMANAT joins the Adilet party. But the legal formalization of this process will take some time. And during this time, deputies, including those of maslikhats who represent AMANAT, are legitimate," he said.
According to Kenzhekhanuly's estimate, the accession process may be completed within five to six months.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Adilet delegates unanimously voted for the accession of the AMANAT party. The decision was supported by 613 people, with no votes against or abstentions.
Prior to that, the 26th Congress of the AMANAT party was held in Astana. Following the congress, AMANAT members issued a statement on the accession of the AMANAT party to the Adilet party.
