Six miners were injured on July 1 at the Orlov mine in the Abai region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The lift transporting workers suddenly stopped at high speed. As a result, six workers sought medical help. Three were diagnosed with minor bruises and sent for outpatient treatment. The other three underwent additional examination at a hospital in Semey, where they were also diagnosed with minor bruises.
According to Yermek Duzkenev, manager of the Corporate Communications Department at KAZ Minerals, all miners were sent for outpatient treatment. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
