The airport terminal in Urzhar village, Abai Region, is being modernized. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional akimat, the project to reconstruct the airport terminal in Urzhar village is being implemented in stages.
"This is one of the important projects aimed at developing the region's transport infrastructure. After the project is completed, the capacity of the airport terminal will significantly increase," the regional akimat said.
Currently, the airport serves 30 passengers per hour, and after modernization this figure will increase to 140 passengers.
