In the Abai region, a road accident on the Semey–Kurchatov highway killed 4 people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional police department, the tragic incident occurred on August 26 at approximately 15:30. A Chevrolet Nexia and a Kia Rio collided.
Police said that the driver of the Chevrolet Nexia, while overtaking a Gazelle ahead, entered the oncoming lane and collided with a Kia Rio.
As a result, the drivers of both cars and two passengers died at the scene. An investigation is currently underway.
