In the first six months of this year, officers of the operational-forensic department of the Abai region police department solved 92 crimes using fingerprints. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
In addition, in 73 cases, the results of forensic examinations helped identify persons involved in crimes and contributed to the resolution of cases.
According to the police, fingerprints are one of the most important and reliable pieces of evidence in solving crimes. Their timely detection, high-quality collection and examination make it possible to identify the perpetrator and prove their connection to the crime scene.
As a result of such work, crimes are solved and the safety of citizens is ensured.
