In the Abai Region, prosecutors have annulled illegal demands imposed on bazaar owners, the Prosecutor General's Office reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the findings, a resolution by the district akimat "On determining and approving locations for non-stationary trade facilities in the territory of Makanshy District" unjustifiably imposed on bazaar owners the obligation to provide land plots for the placement of trade facilities free of charge.

These demands violated the rights and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs and created additional unjustified obligations in the course of business activity.

On the basis of a prosecutorial supervision act, the akimat's illegal resolution was annulled and the rights of entrepreneurs were protected.

In addition, for unlawful interference in the activities of business entities, the head of the entrepreneurship department who developed the regulatory legal act was held administratively liable under Part 1 of Article 173 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses.
